Welcome to the Florida Coalition of Virtual School Families' Web site.

A group of parents came together to form the coalition to make distance and virtual learning a permanent and strong part of the public education system in the state of Florida.

In only our first year we achieved a major victory by helping pass legislation that made Florida's virtual education pilot program an ongoing permanent part of Florida's public education system.  In addition to making virtual education a permanent choice for parents across the state, this new law also allows more students in grades K-8, as well as siblings, to enroll.

Our organization works with other parents and families, teachers and supporters of distance and virtual learning to help make sure our state leaders know who we are and how much we value the quality choice we've made for our children.  We want to show them how our schools work and the results that our children are achieving.  And, we want them to see and understand why their support is so critical.

This site will be your family's gateway to news and information about virtual learning in Florida. It will include the most up to date news about this form of public education; the latest on what's happening in Tallahassee and in other communities that could affect our choices; and suggestions on how you can get involved in our activities.
